About Frida Kadago: Head Teacher (Uganda)

Frida grew up as an orphan in Uganda. Financial challenges limited her educational opportunities, but she was able to attend Teacher’s College thanks to a government sponsorship program. Even though she pursued teaching out of necessity, Frida believes this is the career God created her for because of her love for children.

After completing her education, Frida was hired by one of the largest schools in the country. Frida served with this institution for nine years and excelled in each of her positions. However, she left the institution because she felt the environment was not conducive.

In 2003, Frida accepted a position with the newly founded Victorious Education Services. Frida’s responsibilities grew in tandem with the fledgling school. After serving for one year as a section head of the Victorious Kindergarten and Daycare, Frida became the Deputy Head Teacher. Eight years later, in 2013, Frida became the Head Teacher of a new Victorious campus in Mukono which is the boarding school section. When she began this role, there were 270 students in this section for their first year. Five years later, the student population had reached 790She repeated this process in 2018 when she was transferred to another new campus in Ntinda.

Under her leadership, the Victorious campus in Ntinda currently educates 721 children. Frida firmly believes in the potential of each of child attending her school. She hopes to raise up a new generation of leaders who have a healthy relationship with God and with others. She works to instil integrity and stewardship into each of her students and prays that they will contribute to her ultimate vision of a God-fearing Uganda.

Outside of work, Frida provides counselling services to members of her community and pays for the school fees of five children (one in university, two in high school, and two in primary).

Frida is excited to participate in ALI because she believes it will help her grow as a Christian leader and help her unlock the potential of her school and community by utilizing the available resources. She is confident that her growth and newfound competencies will enable Victorious Ntinda to provide a better education to more students.
