Born in the eastern region of the DRC, Alfred is the second child of a Christian family. Although his family was not able to provide for all their needs growing up, Alfred clearly saw how Christ provided for them. His relationship with Jesus began at the age of 17, and through God he has been given a sense of calling to impact others through the gospel. Alfred says that only through Jesus could his desires and vision be achieved. He studied agriculture in high school and later finance and administration during his time at university. 

He now lives and works in Kigali, Rwanda with his wife and three daughters. Alfred previously served as a youth minister in his church and he currently works at Horizon Express Ltd.: one of Rwanda’s largest transport companies. As their Chief Accountant, Alfred seeks to serve people in eight districts by providing high-quality community transport. He also hopes to impact his colleagues on the company's management team.

Alfred also serves on the board of Gisubizo Ministry International: a global NGO launched by survivors of the Second Congo War to support the spiritual life of Christians seeking to know and experience God through worship and works. Gisubizo Ministries operates in seven districts within Rwanda, with other branches outside the country as well. Their vision is for lives to be transformed by the good news of the gospel. They work to help others pursue the life God has for them. For Alfred, evangelical ministry has changed his life by showing him how to lead with humility, perseverance, big dreams, and the pursuit of excellence and effectiveness in all areas. Alfred’s work has been focused on serving others, but the COVID pandemic has greatly impacted both organizations due to lockdowns and the blocking of inter-city transport. 

Alfred feels his current reach is minimal, but through the empowerment provided by ALI he wants to reach more people on a greater scale. His vision is to start his own organization to impact the community through youth ministry and he believes that the greatest impact is made by the work of the Holy Spirit. To reach others more effectively though, Alfred knows he needs more training. 

He believes ALI will help him develop his skills, build his network, and further equip him in his leadership journey. Alfred is praying again for God to provide for him so he can attend ALI.
