About Jean Marie Mboningarukiye: Deputy Head Teacher

Jean Marie serves as the Deputy Head Teacher for Rise to Shine Nursery & Primary School: a Christian school dedicated to serving vulnerable children in a marginalized community. Originally from Burundi, Jean Marie has always worked as an educator. After fleeing his home, Jean Marie has continued to empower young people through his new role with Rise to Shine.

Jean Marie desires to serve the community where he is currently working but he also wants to help transform Burundi. He believes this is only possible if leaders are transformed spiritually and intellectually — something that he first wants to achieve personally. Attending the Abundant Leadership Institute will help Jean Marie grow in these areas and, ultimately, multiply his impact.
