Robert Mugabi grew up in a poor family in rural Uganda and he deeply understands the experiences of the children he has served with through Kuwasha International Development Society since 2007. He clearly cares for those children the way he cares for his own four children.

Kuwasha is involved in education, healthcare, and community development in the Rakai District of Uganda, a place where HIV/AIDS and poverty have led to extreme poverty, broken families, and orphaned children. Robert helps to advocate for these children, connect with families in the community, and organize sponsorship programs. He is highly trusted within his organization.

Robert has worked hard to overcome many challenges in life. He has a strong faith and has learned to endure, create solutions, and overcome challenges. Robert sees the lack of leadership skills where he works and hopes to be a spark who can apply Christian leadership principles and equip others to do the same. This is why he applied to the Abundant Leadership Institute.

Kurumbuka is deeply blessed to partner with Robert and we look forward to seeing him benefit the children he serves and the broader community in Uganda.
